The current iOS version of Crossy Road contains 262 characters, including the default, Chicken. Furthermore, there are coins scattered across the environment that can be used to make new characters playable. Every forward movement will earn one point, with every fifty points sounded out by an effect. ![]() If the player takes too much time crossing an obstacle, or goes idle, a bald eagle will snatch the character, resulting in the game's end. For example, in the instance of a river, the player must cross the river using floating logs, without landing in the water. The player must time movements correctly in order to pass these obstacles without dying. ![]() The game consists of an endless series of obstacles in a set path, such as rivers, cars and trains. The player plays as a chosen character and must tap to go forward or swipe the screen in the appropriate direction to move the character horizontally. The eyes are level with the beak and about 1/4 of the way in.The objective of Crossy Road is to cross an endless series of roads and obstacles as far as possible without dying. I then finished with the eyes using a black permanent marker pen. When this was dry I used super glue for the cock comb and beak, plus PVA for the legs. Once I had all my parts ready I primed and painted using acrylic. I drilled into the chicken body part to sink the legs in like a dowel. counter sunk into the feet and rounded the top half into a dowel (Each leg approx 8 cm) showing only 3.5 cm. The feet were cut out using 12mm MDF, its basically a capable A, (see images). I started with the body, using an offcut of MDF which was 3x 18mm glued together from an old project (total MDF block 5.5 cm). I didn't have any measurements for this when I made it, I just winged it, (pun intended). I used scrap wood for this project, mostly MDF.
